For the Iraqi government we have developed a mobile long range siren system in order to be used for warning the population in the vicinity of the Mosul dam to warn in case of a collapse of the Mosul dam.

This mobile trailer siren consists of a trailer equipped with a siren deployed on a telescopic mast. This system is fully mobile and can be moved by a suitable vehicle and can be set up by an operator in less than fifteen (15) minutes. The siren trailers can operate on static locations as well as mobile while it is being hauled by a vehicle. The siren is mounted at approximately four (04) m above the ground allowing an approximate range of 7500 meter. This range of the sound is omni-directional which means the sound travels 360 degrees for 7500 meters.

The Siren Trailer is a single NATO axle trailer equipped with:

  • Road lights signalization compliant with INTL Road transportation regulations
  • Jockey wheel to increase its maneuverability
  • Adjustable drawbar to be driven by military or 4*4 civilian vehicle
  • Four (04) stabilizers arms to ensure the stability of the system when it is deployed
  • Spare wheel
  • Customized painting for the client, RAL to be provided by the client
  • Power supply
  • Telescopic mast with bracing system
  • Long range siren ’15D Blaster’

The trailer is a flatbed model with a three (03) m long, two (02) m width platform and one (01) ton gross weight.

The height of the trailer is approximately 2.35 m when the mast is retracted. The mast can be dismantled and layed down on the trailer to achieve a global height of 1.90 m maximum in order to make the transportation easier. The stabilizers arms will be manually adjustable to face rough surfaces to obtain the appropriate level before installation (and offer an enhanced stability). The foot of the stabilizers will be equipped with skates for the weight distribution. On the 3.5 meter telescopic mast the 15D long range Blaster siren is placed and controllable on site by an operator. Each Siren Trailer spread the alert via the ‘Blaster’ siren in a radius of 7.5 km.
