GATR is being utilized as first-in communications by governmental organizations (U.S. and foreign military, intelligence, and homeland security). The GATR also has utility in the commercial and non-governmental organizations (Humanitarian Aid, Oil & Gas, and Broadcast).

GATR satellite terminals (VSAT) are available in 1.2, 1.8, ad 2.4 meter systems at Ku-, C-, and X-band.

1.2 Antenna System

GATR 1.2 Meter High-bandwidth, Backpackable Antenna

GATR’s 1.2 meter Antenna System is a unique ultra-portable design that can provide high-bandwidth communications for transmission of secure and non-secure data, voice, and video, all in a compact package. The design integrates a patented inflatable radome with a precision antenna, allowing all components to fit in a backpack weighing less than 50 lbs (23 kg).

More stable in winds than conventional rigid dishesThe smaller size of the GATR 1.2 meter antenna systems allows it to be transported to virtually anywhere, simplifying transportation. The system can be set up and on satellite within 15 minutes (one person) making it ideal for first-in deployments. The 1.2 meter system is available for Ku- and X-bands.

1.8 Antenna System

The GATR 1.8 antenna system can be utilized as a stand-alone terminal, or can augment smaller aperture systems (1.2 meter and smaller) while maintaining a small form factor. The smaller volume and weight of the GATR antenna system versus a traditional rigid dish allows it to be more easily transported. It can also be set up and on satellite in under 30 minutes, making it ideal in situations where infrastructure has been lost.

The 1.8 meter is primarily used in the continental U.S. and is available for X- and Ku-bands.

2.4 Antenna System

The GATR 2.4 meter antenna system is GATR Technologies’ flagship product. Unlike traditional rigid satellite dishes, a single-band solution of the GATR 2.4 meter antenna system can be packed into as few as two cases weighing less than 99 pounds each. A conventional rigid 2.4 meter portable system can weigh up to 1,000+ pounds and require 6-10 large cases. The GATR offers up to an up to 85% reduction in the overall size and volume between the two.

The 2.4 meter is the most popular version of the GATR antenna systems and is currently in use throughout the world. The 2.4 meter system is available in C-, X-, Ku-, and Ka-band configurations (WGS Certified X- and Ka-Bands).

4.0 Antenna System

4M satGATR has introduced an inflatable 4 meter-class communications hub. GATR’s unique shape and design has enabled this high-capacity 4.0m antenna that is 80+% less volume and weight than comparable sized deployable rigid antennas (4 cases, less than 400 pounds total). The GATR 4.0m provides a drastic reduction in shipping expense in restoral services situations, reliability in extreme environments, greater stability in high winds (40+ mph), and durability in extreme temperatures. In addition, it can be set up in under 60 minutes without special tools making the GATR 4.0m the most cost effective solution for rapid insertion of hubs.
