BSS Technology is supporting Mantis Vision's 3D hand scanner on the Dutch market. The system enhances the 3D scanning and analysis process at for example crime scenes for the police and military. Besides these markets the hand scanner is very useful as an additional tool next to the standard laser scanners used in the engineering and construction market. MVC 3D Video Camera™
The MVC 3D Video Camera acquisition system is a handheld 3D video camera for the fast recording of small to large environments and numerous objects in a simple and easy manner. MVC is distinguished by its ability to sample difficult 3D environments extremely accurately while in motion. Product highlights include the ability to operate in total darkness, capture any object made out of virtually any material, and even acquire sceneries through glass windows. Integrating some of the most advanced 3D content acquisition features in the world, its small size, low weight, and extensive recording volume enable capturing small to large environments in a matter of minutes. Offering superior scalability and flexibility, and various optic and light source components, the camera size and its general performance can be altered upon request.
MVP Automated 3D Authoring™
The MVP Automated 3D Authoring system is a software application running on a high-end desktop computer for enabling state of the art 3D content production. The MVC-acquired videos that are uploaded to the system are automatically reconstructed into an accurate 3D model of the environment. Software features include rendering, manipulation, analysis tools, and flythrough capabilities within very large reconstructed environments.
